  7. Coretta Johnson Gray

    Hi Melissa (and go T-U!),

I want to speak with you about doing invitations for a formal (black-tie) 30th birthday party for me in October, here in D.C.

I’m working with about 20 guests that I expect to attend, although I would probably need about 25 invitations. I’m interested in the silk box invites. My color scheme is red, orange, and bronze.

I’m also looking for a unique, formal font with lots of flourishes and your input on the best way to word the invitations. It’s a one night event but we are having a 5pm photoshoot near the D.C. monuments in the basin, we have 7pm reservations at B.Smith’s in Union Station, then a 9:30pm Jazz Quartert performance at The Kennedy Center, and then we head back to a Ritz-Carlton Suite (or the “ritzy” Coretta’s Castle– my house) for a dessert bar and birthday cake. I’d like to talk about your thoughts.

Congratulations on all of your success thus far. I will definitely steer my future brides from “Coretta’s Elegant Events” to your site. I’m working on mine right now with another TU alum in Baltimore, Greg Dash (a fellow lawyer turned computer programmer/site designer), and I found you both on the Tuskegee alumni network.

  8. Hi Coretta, thanks for stopping by my blog! I would love to create invitations for your 30th birthday party. It sounds like an extravagant event. Email me your contact info at: designsbymissy@comcast.net
